Recycle
Your Hearing Aid Batteries

Bring your 'dead' hearing aid batteries to to one of our offices and we will look after the recycling.

Please remember that hearing aid batteries are poisonous.

Battery Helpful Hints

  • Keep the tab on your zinc air battery until you are ready to use it. Removing the tab activates the battery.
  • Refrigerating batteries is unnecessary.
  • Avoid storing batteries in hot places. Heat shortens the life of batteries.
  • Ventilation of your hearing aid battery compartment at night helps prevent moisture build-up.

Battery Safety Tips

  • Never dispose of batteries in a fire.
  • Store batteries in places inaccessible to small children.
  • If a battery is ingested call a doctor immediately.
  • Never carry loose batteries in your pocket or purse. Metal objects such as keys can short out the battery.
